How are creative hubs, and collaborative workspaces in general, oriented with the achievement of sustainable development goals?
Which are the solutions to reduce the environmental impact of workspaces and convey responsible messages and behaviors to the final users?

Within the Twin Hubs European exchange programme, On/Off (Parma, Italy) and FOR (Timisoara, Romania), in collaboration with ART-ER, Grow Lab and Ibo Italia, organize the workshop “Creative Hubs for Sustainability”, a working day to share ideas and good practices towards reducing the environmental impact of shared workspaces.

During the workshop, the attendees will work in team on the joint elaboration of the “Sustainable Hub Paper”, a strategic document that will contain the best practices and advice for managing shared workspaces from a sustainable perspective.
The event is free and open to all, aimed in particular at managers and users of shared workspaces (coworking, incubators, technopoles, business centre, studios, etc.), sustainability and community managers, students, researchers and people interested in development sustainability and workspace management.

10.00am Community engagement to co-design bottom-up innovation: On/Off and FOR present the outputs of their exchange within the Twin Hubs programme, with Pepe Peralta Guerrero, architect and FOR manager

10.30am Artificial intelligence tools to generate creativity and design, with Marco D’Angelo, innovation consultant from ART-ER. In this session, we will explore how artificial intelligence, exemplified by ChatGPT, can fuel creativity and design in the pursuit of sustainability in shared workspaces. Participants will interact directly with AI to generate innovative solutions for sustainability challenges.

11am Let’s build our Sustainable Hub Paper: tools for planning and teamwork, with Nadia Paleari, Strategist specialised in innovation and sustainability policy development for companies and institutions.

12pm Community lunch and networking

2pm Teamwork: The participants, divided into teams and helped by the facilitators, will work on the topic of the sustainability of spaces by addressing 3 pillars: environmental (focuses on the preservation and management of natural resources and the reduction of environmental impact), social (the importance of creating inclusive, equitable, and healthy environments for all individuals) and governance (the role of sustainable business practices in long-term economic health).
